Your privacy is fundamental to how SkyRad is designed. This Privacy Policy explains what information SkyRad collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information. Please read this carefully before using the app.

1. Who We Are
   SkyRad is developed and operated by Dalton Digital, based in Canyon Lake, California, USA. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at support@radtracker.com.
2. Information We Collect
   2a. Information You Provide
   When you use SkyRad, you may provide:
   • Your name and email address (via Sign in with Apple or manual entry during onboarding)
   • Flight information you manually log, including origin, destination, date, duration, altitude, and seat class
   • Traveler profile preferences (general public, aviation crew, or pregnant)
   • Optional notes attached to flight entries

2b. Information Collected Automatically
SkyRad may collect the following automatically when you use the app:
• Device type and iOS version (for debugging and compatibility)
• App usage analytics (crash reports via Expo/EAS if enabled)
• In-app purchase records processed by Apple (we receive only a transaction token, never your payment details)

2c. Information We Do NOT Collect
SkyRad is designed to minimize data collection. We do not collect:
• Your precise location or GPS coordinates
• Health data from Apple Health (unless you explicitly grant permission for Apple Health write access as a Pro feature)
• Biometric or medical information
• Contacts, photos, or camera data
• Browsing history or data from other apps

3. How We Use Your Information
   We use the information we collect solely to:
   • Provide and improve SkyRad features and functionality
   • Sync your flight logs and dose history across your devices via Firebase (Pro subscribers)
   • Restore your in-app purchase status across devices
   • Send you solar activity alerts and dose threshold notifications (if you enable them)
   • Respond to your support requests
   • Analyze aggregate, anonymized usage patterns to improve the app

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage and Security
   Free Users
   All flight logs and preferences are stored exclusively on your device using local storage (AsyncStorage). No data is transmitted to external servers. If you delete the app or change devices, your data is not recoverable.

Pro Subscribers
Pro subscribers’ flight logs and dose history are synced to Firebase Firestore (Google Cloud), encrypted in transit via TLS and at rest using AES-256 encryption. Your data is stored under your unique user ID and is not accessible to other users.

Security Measures
• All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher
• Firebase data at rest is encrypted using AES-256
• Authentication is handled via Sign in with Apple, which means we never store your password
• We do not store raw Apple ID credentials on our servers

5. Third-Party Services
   SkyRad uses the following third-party services that may process your data:
   • Firebase (Google) — cloud storage and authentication for Pro subscribers. Google Firebase Privacy Policy applies.
   • Apple App Store — in-app purchase processing. Apple Privacy Policy applies.
   • NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center — KP index data fetched anonymously. No personal data is shared.
   • Expo / EAS — app build and delivery infrastructure. Expo Privacy Policy applies.

We do not use third-party advertising SDKs. SkyRad contains no ads.

6. Children’s Privacy
   SkyRad is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@radtracker.com and we will delete it promptly.
7. Data Retention
   We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account:
   • Local data is removed when you uninstall the app
   • Firebase data is deleted within 30 days of account deletion request
   • Anonymized aggregate analytics may be retained indefinitely
8. Your Rights
   Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:
   • Access — request a copy of your personal data
   • Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
   • Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data
   • Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format (CSV export available in Pro)
   • Opt-out — disable notifications and analytics at any time in Settings

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@daltondigital.com.

9. International Users
   SkyRad is operated from the United States. If you are located outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in the US, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using SkyRad, you consent to this transfer.
10. Changes to This Policy
    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this document and notify you through the app. Your continued use of SkyRad after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
